EO/IR STABILIZED GIMBAL
EO/IR STABILIZED GIMBAL
The smallest stabilized gimbal with three sensors with the ability to zoom continuously over a long distance.
Optical payload (PL) is a gimbal which has 3-axis gyro-stabilization to increase its performance.
It is a Gyrostabilized Opto-Electronic System is a targeting equipment which intended for day/night (thermal) video imaging transmissions from the UAV. The system ensures the given camera angle irrespective of the UAV position. This is achieved by a three-axial gyro system with brushless drive motors controlling the PL.
It can operate in different modes – Manual (allows operator to control the camera and thermal camera manually for recon missions) , Lock (coordinates/target lock as well as “follow target”) and Targeting (allows to follow the selected target regardless of the UAV maneuvers and/or to adjust the fire/give correction offset to artillery).
